Shane Doan Wins Messier Award, Will be on Channel 5 at 5:20 am Friday

If you watch the local Phoenix news or read the Arizona Republic, you may not know this, but Shane Doan won the Messier Award for leadership. Joining Shane in Las Vegas for the Award show was Paul Bissonnette and Keith Yandle. Mr. Messier presented the award after a video production piece narrated by Doc Emerich. To those of us in the valley, we know about the great work that Shane does with Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the school for homeless children. There is not a charity that Shane will say no to if it involves kids. Now the rest of North America knows about our Captain and what a great man, leader, and hockey player he is.
