Well friends it is nights like this I hate to write. After such a badly timed losing streak there aren’t many questions.

I think we know what we have here in the Valley of the Sun. A hard nosed, tough minded, and blue collar hockey team that just feels jinxed.

We can’t seem to secure an owner, none of the calls seems to go our way, and none of the bounces seem to either.

We all know the ownership saga. Some even fear the decision to move may already be made but waiting for season’s end first. I have not even heard of any progress in that department.

We spoke about the penalties and how they seem to go against us but the same play happens and we get no call. Even tonight after a 5 minute misconduct when Smitty got run over Hanzal also gets a penalty with 2 mins for coming in and protecting his goal tender. It just gets old. We seem to be getting picked on. Without an owner we get no love. Vancouver skaters dropped gloves and rushed in throwing punched. Then Doan’s hooking call was complete BS!

Puck luck is just not there. Cannot seem to bury the biscuit in the basket. Tonight was a glaring example. Every shot seemed to hit Schneider between the 3 and 5 on his jersey.

Definitely a struggling team who just needs to taste some success and run with it.

Tonight we played well enough to win but just did not. Smitty let a point blank shot in but having been run into twice he seemed to play well through 2 periods of play. Antoinne Vermette tied the game at 1 – 1 early in the 3rd but it seemed both goals given up to the Canucks were just after a big push of momentum that just didn’t lead to a goal.

With 3 days off Coach Dave Tippett needs to let the boys have a night off then a few days of intense practice. The answers may be between the ears but they are needed quickly.
