It is not long until we see Devan Dubnyk in between the pipes wearing a Coyotes sweater. Coach Dave Tippett confirms that Dubnyk will get the nod in net tonight against the Los Angeles Kings after starter Mike Smith gave up six goals in their season opener against the Winnipeg Jets. Dubnyk is a newly acquired Coyotes player who was signed after the departure of former backup Thomas Greiss. This will be Dubnyk’s first ever regular season game as a member of the Coyotes organization. With the sharpshooters on the Kings squad, his first Coyotes start will indeed be a tough one. This will be an opportunity for him to display his hard work and determination to the fans in Gila River Arena tonight. Goaltending Coach Sean Burke works wonders with goaltenders under his wing so we will see a Dubnyk that we have never seen before.

Devan Dubnyk is 3-3-1 in his career against the Kings with a 2.23 GAA and a .931 SV%
