Keith Yandle, Shane Doan and Chris Summers pick the Super Bowl
I can guarantee you that I’m not writing this article because I’ll get fined if I don’t.
One of my favorite parts of Super Bowl Week other than the game itself (and the awesome Snoop Dogg and Imagine Dragons concert two nights before) is the annual Arizona Coyotes Super Bowl Prediction video.
This season, it was released the Friday before the game — and in the absence of Biznasty, Keith Yandle, Captain Shane Doan and Chris Summers got the chance to start a new tradition. It was pure gold.
Chris Summers stepped in this season for the departed Paul Bissonnette, who made his mark in previous Super Bowl prediction videos with classic lines such as “Doaner, I’m sure you’re rooting for the Broncos — because you have Rocky Mountain Fever” in last years video.

Shane Doan has actually been pretty good in these things; in both 2012 and 2013, Doaner not only picked the correct winner but also came close to predicting the score on the nose. He picked Green Bay 31-24, which was one point off the real final score in 2013 — and in 2012, he correctly predicted an upset, as he picked the Giants to win by three points.
For those who don’t remember, that is exactly what happened — as New York beat New England 17-14.
There’s pretty much no chance that Doaner’s going to get it right this year with his ridiculous pick of 44-0 Seattle, but that wasn’t the best part of the video. I want you to watch it again — and pay attention to Yandle’s face.
I feel like that face is just classic Yands, with an absolute dumbfounded look on his face. Summers went along with Doan, and picked the Hawks to get back-to-back rings by a score of 45-3 — which, again, will not happen (at least if Yandle has his way).
Yandle, of course, picked the Pats 31-24 — and seemed a little excited about it, to say the least. Sounds like a reasonable score, but I have to call him out for saying the Pats have the better defense. I absolutely love the legion of boom and Richard Sherman, and they proved last year that they can make a hall of fame quarterback look silly.
Now that you’ve seen the Coyotes picks and (Hopefully) laughed a little, let’s take a look at what some of the HH staff think about the game:
Richie:
23-10 Seahawks
Cat:
30-24 Pats
