Michael Grabner has not been the best Coyotes forward by any means. However so far this season Grabner has done everything he can to help the team succeed when he is in the lineup.

Michael Grabner is a type of depth forward any team would love to have. He is averaging one of the lowest times on ice on the team so far this season. Playing only 12:27 a night might be very hard on a player, but Grabner has been driven.

The 32-year-old winger has 11 points so far this season, 8 goals and 3 assists, and is on his way to producing a few more for the team. It is often hard to score goals when you are rarely getting any offensive zone starts. Michael Grabner is only getting in the offensive zone on 32.1% of his zones starts. While that might be hard to take in at times for a winger, it is not really affecting Grabner.

Michael Grabner is one of our team’s best defensive forwards, and I amend him for that. Not every team has someone as capable of playing both ways as Grabner. Of course, he has lost all 4 faces he has taken this season! (Sarcasm)

Grabner is playing great in a bottom-six role, however, he might not be worth 3.35 million a season for the next two years. I don’t see the Coyotes finding a trade partner for Grabner with that contract, but maybe we can help get him back on track. As of right now, Grabner is on pace for his worst point total to date.

The Arizona Coyotes have the defense to take them into the playoffs. Moving forward they are going to need Michael Grabner and the other bottom 6 forwards to help end their scoring woes if they are to make the playoffs. Michael Grabner has earned a C rating so far this season, not bad for a midseason report card eh?
