The Arizona Coyotes had their first positive week in some time. They got points from three of four contests and saw their number one goaltender return to action.

With 13 games left on the docket, there’s still plenty to see and sort out ahead of what should be a very eventful summer in the desert.

Trade deadline acquisition Alex Tanguay has lit up the Coyotes offense and rejuvenated an ailing Antoine Vermette. Somehow Tanguay is pulling vintage performances out of #50. Let’s hope that continues.

Mike Smith made his return to the ice and he would’ve been hard pressed to see it go better. If he keeps it up and is fully healthy, Louis Domingue will see his workload greatly diminished in the final weeks. It will be nice to see a decent tandem in net for a whole season next year. Anders Lindback was a mistake.

With Oliver Ekman-Larsson still day-to-day with an upper body injury, the Yotes patchwork defense will continue to be tested as they return for a two game homestand.

For now, though, let’s see who rose and fell with the tides last week:
