In a meeting that lasted nearly five hours long, the Glendale City Council approved of the lease with Matthew Hulsizer to purchase the Phoenix Coyotes. The vote was 5-2 in favor of the lease. The NHL Board of Governors still have to approve Hulsizer in order for him to become an owner, but Commissioner Gary Bettman said yesterday that they would unanimously approve him, as Hulsizer met with the them a few weeks ago during a meeting in Florida. It appears that the Coyotes ownership saga will come to a close very shortly, possibly within a few weeks.
