Coyotes fans, you can breathe a sigh of relief. It was announced today that Keith Yandle will be an all-star for Team Staal for Sunday’s game in Raleigh, North Carolina. Yandle, who will be making his first appearance in an All-Star Game, replaces Atlanta’s Tobias Enstrom on the roster.

Being the leader for the Coyotes in points, assists and ice time, many viewed Yandle as one of the biggest snubs not to get into the game, but it appeared more likely that he was going to make a roster with the number of injuries to players on both teams. Yandle has seven goals and 33 assists so far this season. His 40 points are good for second out of all defenseman behind Nicklas Lidstrom.

Congrats to Keith on this great honor. It is well deserved.
