Quick Hits Against Anaheim

-The captain, Shane Doan, has not been himself lately. Doan has had several scoring droughts as of late. The most concerning aspect of his slump is that he has been sluggish in the hitting department. The return of Daymond Langkow should help get the captain back on track.

-Expect to see Mike Smith back in net. Smith was phenomenal on the road trip, and playing arguably the best hockey of his career.

-Turris will be meeting with the media this evening, and providing some answers for the past few months. Expect this to be followed closer than the game for the hockey world.

-Anaheim comes in with a 4 game losing streak. They look to break that trend tonight in Glendale.

-Bobby Ryan has been off to a slow start for the Ducks. Ryan has burned the Coyotes many times, and this would be a perfect breakout party for him.

-Oliver Ekman-Larsson learning from his mistakes. Every young player must learn the hard way and Ekman-Larsson will need to after committing a turnover against the Washington Capitals that led to their first goal.

-The offense has been sliding as of late for the Coyotes. Besides two give away opportunities on the Penalty Kill, the Coyotes did not generate much offense.

-Something needs to give with the Power Play. The power play for the Coyotes continues to struggle. Against the Capitals, the Coyotes had the most trouble entering the zone and maintaining offensive pressure.

-Aucoin continues to impress with his defensive play, and shut down Alex Ovechkin for much of the game.

-Radim Vrbata has been the offense lately. The other lines need to start producing or else little defensive lapses will continue to bury this team.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Have a safe and happy holiday.
