After 2 In Chicago

The Phoenix Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks have completed two periods of play in Chicago. The Blackhawks are returning from a long road trip, and the Coyotes are taking advantage of them. The Coyotes are flying around the Blackhawks in all three zones. The Martin Hanzal line has been dominant, simply put. The fore-check has been phenomenal by the Coyotes and Mike Smith has been steady once again. Derek Morris has simplified his game and is making smart passes in the defensive zone. David Schlemko has been impressive again. Shane Doan tallied a goal in the 2nd period, and seems to be more comfortable with Daymond Langkow back. The power play seems to getting a better flow, and maintaining solid time in the offensive zone. Patrick O’Sullivan has played consistent in all three zones, while contributing to the fore-check. As long as the Coyotes do not sit back too much in the final period, they should wrap up a huge win in Chicago.
