At the Ice Den in Scottsdale, the She Wolves is the all girl team that started last year out of a desire for girls to continue to play hockey in a competitive environment. As the physical development between the boys and girls start to radically change, many girls have dropped out of hockey. The She Wolves was a plan to keep them in hockey and give additional skills development to younger players.
They current field an U16 (under 16 years of age) and a U14 team. The U14 plays against PeeWee teams at the Ice Den and other coed programs in the valley. The U14 team is coached by Scott Bryce and assisted by Jeff Owens.
The skills development sessions are open to girls age 6-17 and those above 18 as well. On Ice skills development are taught by former Sundog Cedric Bernier with his wife Stephanie instructing the dry land training. The requirements for the skills classes are below:
- Must have completed the Level A/Pre- Hockey 3 or Initiation Program
- Youth ages 6-17 yrs and Ladies 18+
- Full equipment required
- Must provide proof of current 2012-13 USA Hockey confirmation at time of registration.

October 28 – December 16 (7 classes) $179
(No class November 25)
