Coyotes let the Dead Things in and face playoff elimination

It’s all over. Another must win followed by a none effort.

Sure the fan in me say well we hit the cross bar. They hit it 5 times. Well we could not bury the puck. They did 4 times and on the power play where we again struggled.

This is our Spurs to the Suns. When it counts we get out hustled and out physicalled. Manhandled if you will. Needed more than Shane Doan showing his frustration late in the game. This was never a game and the Coyotes frankly don’t deserve to make the playoffs this year.  Last year they deserved better than a one sided officiated series.

Red Wings are better than their outside looking in seeding. They showed it tonight blanking the hapless Coyotes. Say what you want, you cannot lose 7 in a row down the stretch and sniff the post season.

Even if Phoenix wins out it is unlikely they can make up ground this late in the season. When there is no margin for error, you just cannot error as much as we did. Many adjustments are needed going into next season. Doan deserves better. Vrbata disappeared. Yandle had brain farts. Defense and goal were injury prone and it showed late.

Next up the ‘Yotes play for pride and not much more. This is the 3rd time this month in must win situations they were held scoreless. Just inexcusable.

Time to get ownership handled and maybe draft / possibly sign some key free agents. Maybe next year we are buyers vs. sellers. Maybe next year we have an owner and more sellout crowds.

It just kills me it happens at the hands of the HATED Red Wings. Almost the worst thing in sports but then again you have the Yankees and their billions in payroll over the last handful of years with only one championship to show for well over a decade of cheating the system. Ahhh but too soon to talk about Yankee Hatred. This is all anti Detroit talk.
