Coyotes leave and Glendale is a ghost town. You will layoff many more than 3 when your city starts to die. Westgate is gutted as like the stock market many will sell sell sell knowing there is no anchor tenant and not a sustainable option to bring people to them. Who knows about Tanger outlet but that isnt enough to get people off the 101 when they can continue up to Peoria. AMC may be your only survivor. You still have to pay someone to manage the ghost ship called something after Jobing.com decides they don’t want their name on a loser. No one except Max’s sports bar would want to pay a dime to name that arena. Glendale will eventually just sell to Peoria or be absorbed in a bankruptcy. No more Super Bowls with Westgate gutted and nothing surrounding University of Phoenix.

The bottom line is you cannot afford to fold and turn in the chips. You have too much invested financially and emotionally from Glendale and the rest of the valley. How stupid would it be to struggle through all of the peril and when the sunshine is coming you run? Grab the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. If in 5 years it doesn’t work then I will be surprised and you can cut bait then. At least it gives you 5 years to pay off the NHL who has done everything to keep Glendale relevant. You can be the council who is credited with the turn around of a thriving city or the council led by Norma Alvarez who will kill the city and reduce it to a library. Time to grow up Glendale and put your big boy pants on. I’ve never seen a city that is so bi-polar. As soon as it does something remarkable it sees turmoil around the corner.
