Arizona Coyotes celebrate July 4th with Independace from....

Tierney. From Seattle, Quebec city, Hamilton, City of Glendale, and all the haters.

Finally the Desert Dawgs can hit the BBQ with the free spirit of an independence from worry or concern from the uncertainty of where their kids will go to school. How it will feel to be ripped from their family and friends. Losing great weather for horrible weather. All kinds of variables that can be laid to rest.

Now the NHL and RSE will close on the deal which has been said to be a formality. They have 34 days to close the entire deal and I believe July 8th is the day NHL/RSE needs to have contract signed in principle.

Mayor Jerry Weiers gets to be the guy who sided with Norma Alvarez. The unstable council member who barked out at city officials because she wanted to reveal special session information. I honestly life their awww shucks approach and attitude to life but it isn’t realiztic their archaic view of the world. It is a fast pace, high risk deal that Glendale got involved with opening Westgate, University of Phoenix, jobing.com, and Camelback Ranch. No way can they pull out in the middle of such a huge undertaking.

Coyotes fans are moving to buy their season tickets in quick fashion as social media was a buzz with fans who had waited for this moment of stability.

Moving forward it seems all the heavy lifting is over. All the particulars are in place. Simple matter of paperwork and money transfers. Maloney, Tippett, Doan, Smith all signed seal and now a Stanley Cup will be delivered. I can just feel it. Can you?

It has been a long drawn out saga but hopefully in a few weeks we can all celebrate our boys staying put where they belong. Of course 5 years from now we will count the peanuts and make sure we have 15 more years.

Bottom line is we need to support this team like never before. No more excuses. This is a second lease on the life of our hockey club.
