Mitch Marner could electrify the Arizona Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes struggle with goal scoring is known throughout the league, it is not a new problem either. In the 2014-2015 season Arizona posted a pitiful 165 goals, and they have been on the bottom half of the list for a few years. The Coyotes desperately need a man who was born and bred to put biscuits in the basket, and Marner may be that man.

He may be small standing at 5’11”, but, we don’t need him to drill bodies into boards, we need him to drill rubber into twine. Don Maloney has proven he loves to draft from the London Knights, and this speedy skater shows he has the skill to both score goals and create opportunities. He put up 126 points (44g-82a) in 63 games, it is no wonder why he is being compared to London Knights alumni Patrick Kane.

While admired for his goal scoring ability he also plays an extremely unselfish game, he knows how to bring out the best of his fellow players and play in all three zones. His offensive skills, are exactly what the Arizona Coyotes need to end the goal drought that has plagued Arizona for the last few years.

Marner’s Stats:

The Coyotes with Marner- While he won’t single handedly make the Coyotes an offensive dynamo; he might become the goal scorer we have been desperately seeking. His speed, offensive capabilities, and willingness to do whatever is necessary to put the puck in the net is exactly what the Arizona Coyotes are looking for.

He would also be coming into the team with some chemistry, his London Knights teammates Christian Dvorak and of course, the ever hyped Max Domi are also Arizona Coyotes prospects. His speed and nose for the net will also go well with Coyotes currently on the roster such as Mikkel Boedker, Sam Gagner, and Tobias Rieder.

Mitch Marner might end up becoming one of the most electrifying players to put on a Coyotes jersey, only time will tell where this Markham native’s career will go. If his career with the Knights is any indication, he will be lighting lamps up around the league for years to come.
