Coyotes re-sign Pyatt
With all of the excitement this past week with the NHL Awards in Las Vegas and the NHL Draft in Los Angeles we don’t want to forget some other great news for the Phoenix Coyotes: Taylor Pyatt.
The Coyotes and Pyatt have come to an agreement on a two-year deal.
In 74 games the, 28 year old, left winger had 23 goals this past season, 12 of which were goals and a career high +/- rating with 13. In the playoffs he played in all 7 games against the Detroit Red Wings adding another goal and an assist.
Pyatt was the 8th overall pick by the New York Islanders in 1999 NHL entry Draft. He spent one season with them before going to Buffalo for four season. Pyatt played in 230 games with the Sabres over four seasons and had 80 points and 131 penalty minutes before being traded to the Vancouver Canucks.
