NHL Champagne Jersey

I guess luck is finally on the side of the Phoenix Coyotes as I have looked over the Shop.NHL.com site and have yet to find one of these horrendous jerseys for the Coyotes.

No idea what I am talking about?

As a female hockey fan (and not to mention I focused my post secondary education in Sports Management) I find the constant push of these types of jerseys by the NHL as some what degrading.

I feel that I am just a mindless “oh that has sparkles!” drone to some of these people.

I have seen a few of the female cut jerseys in pink (breast cancer support I get that one and kudos for that), black and silver, the team colors, and now this new Champagne one. I don’t get it. Do you honestly think buying a Be-dazzler and pushing some cheap rhinestones onto something that only loosely related to a jersey is going to make me buy it?

Who does the demographic reserach on this? I have never seen a female wearing any of these jerseys, though I am sure there are some out there. Do enough of these jerseys sell to off set the development and production cost?

I am just at a loss for what the developers where thinking when they came up with this product.
