Doan wins NHL honor

Even though it was a bad week for his team, it was a great week for Shane Doan.  On Tuesday, Doan was awarded the NHL’s Second Star of the Week.

The Coyotes captain led the entire league for the week in points.  He had five goals and three assists and extended his point streak to six games.  It appears as though Doan’s game is all the way back to where it should be after he has missed 10 games due to injury and three because of a suspension earlier in the year.

With the way Phoenix is struggling at the moment, they need him to continue playing at a high level.
