Hello Eastern Conference

A tough stretch of Eastern Conference games coming up for the Phoenix Coyotes approaches. A 3-0 win in San Jose was a good start to the road trip. Picking up points against an Eastern Conference team is huge at this point in the season. In November, most teams are figuring out the identity of their respective teams. Losing out on points within the conference could burn any team, but now is a chance to grow against the Eastern Conference. This road trip will be a chance for the players to bond after already completing a month of the season. Unfortunately for the Coyotes, this road trip will include some of the Eastern Conference heavy weights. Boyd Gordon will get a chance to play against his former team, the Washington Capitals. The Capitals are a deep hockey club, and primed to make a long run in the playoffs. The highlight of the trip will be facing old friend Ilya Bryzgalov. Bryzgalov is beginning to find his game, and will be an excellent test for the Coyotes offense.

It all starts with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. This would be a big two points to pick up before playing the more proven teams. If the Coyotes can pick up at least half the points on the trip, the Coyotes could really be hitting their stride when the return to Glendale.
