After years of uncertainty it seems as if the dark cloud over Glendale may finally blow away.

It is being reported by deputy commissioner Bill Daly expects the Board of Governors to approve the Arizona Coyotes sale to RSE / Ice Edge holdings some time this week.
It seems the waiting game is to pass the referendum time period allowed by the City of Glendale. Ken Jones, Norma Alvarez, and a Rev. Maupin have been trying to gather signatures but by all accounts they will fall far short of the amount required. No Darcy Olsen or Goldwater Institute anywhere. Guess all that Canadian money ran out.
This is good news for the “Arizona” Coyotes as they will now be called and their fans. Also for the management, staff, players, and businesses at Westgate. So long have so many been in limbo. All because others played their games and agendas which were not in the spirit of keeping the Coyotes here.
With the approval by the board the deal will be finalized and the business of winning can take place of the business of politics and hockey. Coyotets management wasted no time re-signing Don Maloney, Dave Tippett, and a host of signings highlighted by Mike Smith and Mike Ribeiro.
Now all the drama can take a back seat to the only goal anyone in Arizona cares about. Bringing Lord Stanley home to the Valley of the Sun. In the nation’s 7th largest city it would be a very welcome happening only having a few championships to brag about. Zero by the Suns!
So let’s get that Cup and HOWL!
