Paul Bissonnette to join Cardiff Devils of EIHL
Biznasty 2.0 is headed back to a familiar home…
Paul Bissonnette was always a fan favorite with Coyotes fan during his time here, and many were disappointed when the team announced that they would not be renewing his contract. After rumors of him winding up alongside Alex Ovechkin in Washington and a tryout with the St. Louis Blues we now know where Biz is headed, to jolly old England.
The news unfolded in quite the appropriate manner, a series of tweets by Bissonnette’s new team the Cardiff Devils.
Bissonnette had previously spent time with the Devils during the NHL lockout of 2012 and Biz didn’t disappoint by putting up huge numbers. He put up 21 points in 11 games for the Devils including six goals. In his entire NHL career Bissonnette had only produced 22 points in over 200 games so the move back to the EIHL is probably a really good fit.

The Devils did make it clear that the sihning doesnt necessilary mean the end of Biznasty’s NHL career, according to the official press release.
"““It is important for our fans to understand that if Paul gets the opportunity to go back to the NHL, we will not stand in his way and he is coming here with all of us knowing full well that he could be here for a week, a month or all season. He could get an offer in the next few days before he even arrives for all we know, but we are taking a risk here because we want him back for however long we can have him”"
We will definitely keep an eye on Biz’s new endeavor and i’m sure all coyotes fans will be wishing him well.
