  • When we started the season, our podcast had to do with the poor start of Mike Smith, the main problems with the offense, and whether the season would turn around. Then, we talked about how the Arizona Coyotes stacked up in the Pacific Division; finally, we threw a few players under the bus for their streaky play.

This week, though, we chatted about one of the biggest issues facing the Coyotes this season… The Goaltending Situation.

We haven’t really spent much time diving into goal before this point, simply because the season had been too young — but the time to sit back and hope things get better has passed, and we need to act soon. (Dave Tippett, I hope you’re listening)

Cori and I both make our choice for who should get the call in net for Arizona. Plus, we weigh in on weather or not “tanking for Mcdavid” is a viable option for the desert dogs this season.

Stay tuned for part two, because you do not want to miss the debut of our new segment “The Cranky Cori Crenshaw Corner”. Cori gets to rant about something hockey related every week.

If you have any suggestions on what Cori should rant about, then let us know.

(Also, if you think you have a better name for the segment than comment below or let us know on Twitter.)

    UPDATE:

Devan Dubnyk started on Saturday against Calgary and gave up three goals on 29 shots. His new record on the season is 5-1-1 with a GAA of 2.43 and a Save Percentage of .922
