Howlin’ Hockey Presents Episode V Of The Arizona Coyotes Fight Night Series.
We continue the Arizona Coyotes Fight Night series, with a look at the 2012-2013 NHL season. This was a unique season as it was shortened from 82 games to 48 because of a lockout. The Arizona Coyotes tried to keep up with their competition, but began to fall behind midway through the season.

The Coyotes would finish fourth in the Pacific this year, and tenth in the Western Conference. Arizona would miss grasping a wildcard spot by four points. This would be the first time the Coyotes would miss the playoffs since the 2009-2010 season.
Keith Yandle would lead the team in points (10 goals and 20 assists) at the end of this abbreviated season. Shane Doan and Antoine Vermette would both finish for the team-lead in goals with 13. Mike Smith finished this year with a 15-12-5 record.
The Arizona Coyotes were involved in sixteen fights this season. Paul Bissonnette and Kyle Chipchura would headline most of these sixteen. Other fighters this season include Shane Doan, Raffi Torres, Dave Moss, and Chris Summers.
