Strome, the star center for the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League, had a phenomenal week scoring 3 goals, and having tallied 7 assists with a +2 +/- rating over 4 contests.
Strome’s output helped to shoot the Otters back into a first place tie in the OHL’s Midwest Division. The Otters knocked off Mississauga, Oshawa, London and Kitchener to improve their overall season record to 17-2-1-0.
The Coyotes have high hopes for Strome, and how he can mesh with the Desert Dogs young stars Max Domi and Anthony Duclair. Strome brings prodigious talent to the table as evidenced here:
The promise that is contained in Strome’s play, in addition to the current play of Domi and Duclair, gives Coyotes fans much to hope for in the future. In addition to these three, the Coyotes also have other young players such as, Tobias Rieder and Jordan Martinook already contributing on the NHL level. In the minor league system, the Coyotes have other prospects Christian Dvorak, Brendan Perlini, Nick Merkley, and Henrik Samuelsson, who all bring considerable firepower, and talent to the table. This collection of talent, at both the NHL level and in the minor league system, is the envy of the rest of the league.
