The next stop for the Arizona Coyotes would be Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Rangers. The story of the night would center around Keith Yandle, as he faced off against the team that traded him just a season ago. Yandle was a big part of the Arizona Coyotes franchise for nine straight years. The superstar trade sent him packing to the Big Apple in exchange for Anthony Duclair. Yandle would tally one goal against the Coyotes that night.
Along with Keith Yandle, Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist would shine in this Thursday night game. The Coyotes would not get much done offensively, with King Henrik in net. Out of the 35 shots faced, only one would get by the Rangers goaltender. Mike Smith, on the other hand, would not get that same luck. He finished with a save percentage of .889, allowing three goals in the loss.
