I wasn’t too far off base between where I thought the organization should be going and where the Coyotes are now with regards to the first line.
Alex Tanguay, a trade deadline acquisition along with some prospects from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Mikkel Boedker, was slotted into the top line when the trading dust had settled.
Max Domi, who I saw as a candidate for first line minutes and an obvious chemistry match with Anthony Duclair (see clip below for proof), has recently been shuffled to another line by Head Coach Dave Tippett in an effort to mix up the Coyotes offensive stagnation.
Antoine Vermette is currently centering the first line as I predicted but after Vermette and Duclair, my predictions and the current lineup begin to diverge.
