Every game during a hockey season is incredibly important, but there are 5 games on the Arizona Coyotes 2016-17 schedule that stand out above the rest.

From Opening Night against the Philadelphia Flyers on October 15th to the regular season finale against the Minnesota Wild on April 8th, the Arizona Coyotes will have to push hard during the regular season in order to play a couple more in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Some games, like ones against the Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens, will likely be snoozefests.

Other games will be more exciting, with interesting storylines and teams with polarizing and talented players.

Everyone gets excited for games against Original Six teams like New York and Detroit, although their fans flood Gila River Arena and call the event a “home game”.

Other games against teams like Nashville, Dallas, San Jose and Washington all promise high-scoring box scores as well.

Out of the 82 regular season games, 5 particular games carry important storylines or create headlines which will carry into next season.
