After the success of Amazon’s “All Or Nothing”, what if the Arizona Coyotes were featured in a similar series?
It’s been a while in the wilderness, but the Arizona Coyotes are nearing a return to relevance.
Not just on the ice, which is obviously important, but off the ice as well.
It is imperative to the long term growth of hockey in the desert that the franchise develops stars and these stars connect with the fan base.
Shane Doan has led the team from near-infancy to this precipice. The captain has been the face of the Coyotes with his own brand of good natured outreach and stellar play.
As the team begins to shift to new leadership, however, the Coyotes will need a new face to emerge.
The ideal candidate would be the likely future captain, Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Unfortunately, being the media face of the franchise is not really OEL’s cup of tea.
A more fitting person might be forward Max Domi. He’s the first of vaunted Arizona Coyotes’ recent draft picks to make an impact at the NHL level.
Domi is skilled, explosive, and affable. Domi is as comfortable in an interview as he is on the power play.
Still, what if the franchise were given the same opportunity as their NFL counterparts?
What if Amazon did an “All Or Nothing” series documenting a season in the life of the Arizona Coyotes?
The increase in awareness and interest in hockey in the desert and the franchise nationwide could be massive.
Imagine having unfettered access to the banter and personalities that litter this club. We could have a front seat ride on the rollercoaster that is an NHL season, and the triumphs and failures that come with it.
Consider if embedded cameras had been rolling when Coyotes fans showered Shane Doan with hats at the end of warm-ups in honor of his hat trick against Chicago.
Then later that night if they had captured Domi setting up Doan for his franchise record-setting 380th goal.
These moments would make a hockey fan out of nearly anyone that is interested in sports.
As a people we love stories, we love background, we love stakes. An “All Or Nothing” featuring the Arizona Coyotes would give us that and more.
Naturally, it’s unlikely to happen.
This is the NHL and this franchise is, for the moment, an afterthought in the desert.
That’s all going to change very soon.
Dylan Strome, Christian Dvorak, Jakob Chychrun, and a myriad of other names aren’t content with being stand-ins in someone else’s film.

With or without a documentary series, these future stars are going to capture wins and capture hearts here in the desert.
