The Arizona Coyotes organization announced the start dates of their rookie camp and training camp prior to the 2016-17 season.

The Arizona Coyotes are getting set to take the ice. Finally, hockey is almost here!

Temperatures are slowly creeping down from the blistering highs of summer and that means it’s also time to see the pack skating once again.

The team’s prospects will report to camp on September 16th and the veterans report on September 22nd.

Here’s the Yotes’ press release with the details:

"Arizona Coyotes General Manager John Chayka announced today the dates for the Coyotes 2016 Rookie and Veterans training camps at Gila River Arena."

"The Coyotes rookies will report on Friday, Sept. 16 and will participate in their first on-ice practice session on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Gila River Arena. The Coyotes veterans will report to camp on Thursday, September 22 for medicals, fitness testing and media day. The first on-ice practice session for veterans will take place on Friday, Sept. 23 at Gila River Arena. A complete schedule of practice times for training camp and a roster will be released at a later date."

"All training camp practices for both the rookie and veterans camps will be held at Gila River Arena and are free and open to the public. Fans should enter the arena through Gate #3/Security entrance."

"The Coyotes will open the 2016-17 NHL regular season at Gila River Arena vs. the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, Oct. 15. Game time is 6:00 p.m."

It’s been a long, albeit eventful summer. It’s finally time to howl.
