Arizona Coyotes Recall DeAngelo, Dauphin From Tucson
The Arizona Coyotes have recalled Laurent Dauphin and Tony DeAngelo from the Tucson Roadrunners.
The hits keep on coming for the Arizona Coyotes.
Fresh off of the acquisition of Peter Holland, they received some bad news.
Max Domi is week-to-week with an upper-body injury, presumably stemming from his fight with Garnet Hathaway on Thursday night.
The fight left Domi bloodied and grinning maniacally, but now it leaves the Yotes without their best forward and most creative playmaker.

Thanks to visa issues for Holland and Domi being retroactively placed on injured reserve, the Coyotes have some free roster space.
They used it to recall center Laurent Dauphin and defenseman Tony DeAngelo, both of whom have already spent time with Arizona this season.
Here’s the press release on the roster moves:
GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Arizona Coyotes General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have recalled center Laurent Dauphin and defenseman Anthony DeAngelo from the Tucson Roadrunners, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).The 21-year-old Dauphin scored a goal in one game with the Roadrunners and has earned 1-1-2 in 18 games with the Coyotes. The 6-foot-1, 181-pound center from Repentigny, Quebec was drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (39th overall) in the 2013 Entry Draft. The 21-year-old DeAngelo has registered 2-5-7 in 11 games with the Coyotes. The 5-foot-11, 183-pound native of Sewell, New Jersey collected 1-6-7 in nine games with Tucson this season. DeAngelo was selected in the first round (19th overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2014 Entry Draft.
The return of DeAngelo will be a welcome sight for many fans.
He put up 7 points in his first 11 NHL games, defensive issues aside, and with Domi absent this team needs all the offense it can get.

The Arizona Coyotes have produced the second lowest goals for per game (2.15), and their power play is ranked 24th (14.3%).
Any offensive creativity is needed at this point. The goaltending has been there to squeak out some wins, but someone needs to put the puck in the other net. Without Domi that has become much harder, but DeAngelo can provide a shot in the arm from the back end.
Laurent Dauphin is a different matter entirely.
He made the team by showing a lot of hustle during training camp and preseason, but his reality in the National Hockey League hasn’t been very impressive. He was sent back to the Tucson Roadrunners to find his offensive game.
There has definitely not been enough time for that to occur, so perhaps he can still provide some hustle and defensive responsibility to the bottom six if he’s in the lineup.

Peter Holland is not likely to join the team until Monday in Pittsburgh while he secures his visa.
That may give Dauphin time to re-insert himself in John Chayka and Dave Tippett’s plans.
