What more can the Arizona Coyotes do? Well actually that question is really simple. Obviously the Coyotes have played great defensively. The team has been applying pressure constantly throughout the first two games of the season, and they have succeeded at getting the puck in deep in the offensive zone. The only thing the Coyotes can do more of is score goals.

The locker room looked deflated after the loss to the Bruins on Saturday night. What started off as a pleasant day. where the Coyotes were celebrating a new owner, a new year, and a new hope in the franchise. It ended with the same result.

The Arizona Coyotes lost 1-0 to the Boston Bruins in a game they should have won. The Coyotes dominated the Bruins for more than half of the game. Whether it be the chemistry of the top line, or the speed of the Coyotes rushing up the ice, the chances are there.

The Coyotes put up 35 shots on goal in a close contest. The score easily could have been high scoring on either side but both goalies played spectacular. Especially on this save by Darcy Kuemper

The biggest thing for the Coyotes moving forward is FIX THE POWER PLAY. Arizona had 2 power play opportunities in the game against the Bruins last night, and failed to capitalize on either one. They team spent too much time working on trying to get the puck to Phil Kessel. They out passed themselves in the offensive zone and honestly need to focus on just shooting the puck.

I think the Coyotes need to work on creating more of a net front presence. Crashing the net is great but you need a second stick trying to put the puck in the net. To many times tonight Arizona would put the puck on net only to have the puck frozen right after, creating more net front presence will help push the puck in.

Honestly there are a lot of great takeaways from the Coyotes loss to the Bruins. Boston was in the final last year, and the Coyotes just stuck with them in a very close game. Moving forward I think all the Coyotes need to do is improve on the little things. The Soderburg line had their moments tonight, and the top line for the Coyotes looked great yet again.

Obviously defensively the Coyotes looked great. The Bruins only goal was scored due to the failure to get the puck out of the zone so moving forward take advantage of every opportunity you have with the puck.

Go Coyotes! We have a long week until the next game on Thursday against Knights.
