Alex Goligoski played in his 800th NHL game a few nights ago when the Arizona Coyotes faced off against the Boston Bruins. Goligoski is not the only Coyotes player currently under milestone watch.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson should pass Doug Smail for most games played in Arizona Coyotes history. Ekman-Larsson is currently at 659 games played, and only needs to get to 692 to pass Smail. Ekman-Larsson might move to 4th all time as well if he can play another 81 or 82 game season again this year. He would only need to play in about 60 games this season to pass Dale Hawerchuk for 4th all time.

Derek Stepan should pass 700 games played this season all with the Coyotes or Rangers. While Clayton Keller and Christian Dvorak should both play in their 200th career games this season. Keller is at 169 and Dvorak is at 178 games played. Phil Kessel is just 2 games away from playing in his 1000th NHL game, so Coyotes fans get ready to celebrate Phil “the thrill” Kessel in just a few games.

Jason Demurs is 1 point shy of hitting 200 career NHL points. The 31-year-old Coyotes defenseman has been in the league a long time and deserves to get the next point. Carl Soderburg should pass 500 games this season, he only needs to play in 16 more games this season to pass the number.

Michael Grabner should pass 600 games this season. He now has played in 596 and only needs to play in just 4 more. Niklas Hjalmarsson should play in his 800th NHL game as well this season. He currently has played in 755 games, but last season he played in all 82 games.

There are a lot of milestones to watch on the Coyotes bench this season. So many players are going to pass 200 games played this season, that shows how young are team is. Players like Clayton Keller, Christian Dvorak, Vinnie Hinostroza, and Nick Schmaltz have not played in their 200th game in the NHL, and they are already being treated like veteran NHL players.

When it comes to most goals scored and most games played in Coyotes history one player has that position locked, Shane Doan. There is a reason the Coyotes retired Shane Doan’s number for the type of person he is on and off the ice.
