It is Tuesday October 8th Arizona Coyotes fans! A new day means a new Morning Howl Report for all things Coyotes. So let’s dive right in with what you need to know about your Arizona Coyotes!

The Coyotes are still enjoying their few days of rest in between home games. the Arizona Coyotes last took the ice against the Boston Bruins on Saturday, and will not suit up again until Thursday when the Vegas Golden Knights come to town.

The Arizona Coyotes have not had the best start on paper. Although they have outshot their opponents, and at times outplayed, they still find themselves winless through the first week of the season. It’s pretty obvious the main reason for the Coyotes folly through the first few games is their lack of scoring.

Moving into the next string of games scoring is on the minds of a lot of the Coyotes. Arizona’s locker room will need to hope that the experienced leaders can keep things calm and collected for the Coyotes going forward. Losing two straight games to start the season is a reason enough to press the panic button, especially when you get shut out. Leaning on leaders will be essential moving forward.

One player set to make a difference for the Coyotes is young prospect Barrett Hayton. Hayton was drafted 5th overall in 2018. Hayton can hopefully make a difference on the Coyotes struggling power play.

Hayton has already started to get worked into the power play rotation during practice. Whatever they do as long as the Coyotes start scoring goals everyone is on board.
