Arizona Coyotes Morning Howl Report for October 13th 2019
By Jim Lynch
Good Morning Arizona Coyotes fans! We have your Morning Howl Report fresh off of the press for October 13th 2019.
The Arizona Coyotes lost 3-2 in OT last night against the Colorado Avalanche. The team failed to score in OT after coming back from a 2-0 deficit. For our full recap check it out here. (Howlin’ Hockey)
Niklas Hjalmarsson left the game with a lower body injury. (Arizona Sports) Hjalmarsson has been a pivotal part of the blue line for the last few years, and even scored a goal last night. We actually recently previewed Hjalmarsson in our first article in our Journey to the desert series. We will follow his injury as it develops here at Howlin’ Hockey.
The only other real piece of news coming out of Arizona was that the Coyotes recalled Ilya Lyubushkin from the AHL and assigned Kyle Capobiano to the Tucson Roadrunners. (Arizona Sports)
It will be interesting to see what the team does with their defenseman moving forward especially considering Hjalmarsson was injured during the game last night.
The Coyotes gave up their first goal on the penalty kill tonight. It will be interesting to see what happens moving forward. The ‘Yotes faced off against a very tough team in the Colorado Avalanche. They are undefeated thus far this season, but honestly the Coyotes stuck with them through the entire game.
Opponent watch :
The Arizona Coyotes will travel to Winnipeg to face off against the Jets. The team will be well rested especially when you consider that the Jets are playing a game tomorrow night against the Penguins while the Coyotes will be watching and waiting from home.
Winnipeg is now 4-2-0 on the season and we will be watching the Penguins/Jets game very closely tomorrow to present you with the best preview possible.
