Arizona Coyotes Morning Howl Report October 25th 2019
Alright everyone say it with me! “Darn it!” The Arizona Coyotes’ 6 game point streak came to an end last night, and we have the Morning Howl Report to help move forward!
It is October 25th, 2019 and the great thing about the NHL is sometimes you don’t need to wait very long to wash away the bad taste of a loss. The Arizona Coyotes will faceoff against the New Jersey Devils tonight to try to get back on track. More on that later in our game preview.
Darcy Kuemper, the backbone of the Coyotes, finally faltered last night. He gave up 3 goals in the net, the most he has given up in about the last 12 games. Kuemper had a streak of giving up 2 goals or less the last few weeks. However, streaks are made to be broken and restarted.
Last night was the first night the Arizona Coyotes truly missed Niklas Hjalmarsson in my eyes. I am not saying the team did not play well defensively I am just saying it looks like they could have used a little more help on the backend.
Here is what Oliver Ekman-Larsson had to say after the loss.
We have talked a lot about the Coyotes win streak that went to 4 games. However, it was never really mentioned nationally. Why do you think the Coyotes are so underestimated? We gave our thoughts here. (Howlin’ Hockey)
Few teams care much about the stamp of approval from outsiders. However, one Arizona Coyote that everyone wants to make proud is Shane Doan. The current cast is making him proud day in and day out, just read what he had to say about Christian Dvorak! (AZ Sports)
That’s all for us about the ‘Yotes. Stay tuned later today for our game preview and Road to the desert series installment!
