The Arizona Coyotes will have a chance to redeem themselves following their loss to the New York Islanders. This time against the New Jersey Devils.

The New Jersey Devils last played Saturday against the Vancouver Canucks, where they won 1-0. The Coyotes will faceoff against yet another rested team that has had time to strategies and watch the ‘Yotes play their system. However this time the ‘Yotes will have some fresh legs to help.

Barrett Hayton looks as though he will crack back into the lineup tonight against the Devils, and Antti Raanta will start in net. Darcy Kuemper has been great this season, but on the second day of a back to back, you need your other goalie to step into the rink.

Barrett Hayton cracking back into the lineup might cause some lineup shifting to occur, which is fine with me! Although I know the Coyotes will probably end up doing something different here is my proposed forward units for tonight’s game!

Garland – Stepan – Kessel

Keller – Dvorak – Schmaltz

Grabner – Richardson – Hayton

Crouse – Soderberg – Hinostroza

It probably won’t look identical to this, but I believe Garland deserves a chance on the top line. I know he has benefited from playing with Nick Schmaltz and Christian Dvorak, but maybe he can also play on the top line. Plus doing this will enable Clayton Keller to snap his scoring drought with a young fast line like Dvorak and Schmaltz.

The possibilities are endless, but one Coyotes player I would eye tonight would be Barrett Hayton. Hayton is the most rested player on the team, and we all remember the kind of moves he made the last time he cracked the lineup.

Keep your eye on Jack Hughes, the former first overall pick from the last NHL draft. He is always looking to make some noise.
