The Arizona Coyotes have another chance to turn things around this time against the Washington Capital. That and more in today’s Morning Howl Report.

The Arizona Coyotes have not played their best hockey as of late, but don’t press the panic button just yet. Although the Coyotes have given up leads in their last four games they still have found ways to score goals. I think now the team just needs to fine-tune their defensive play.

In the Coyotes last game against Minnesota, Darcy Kuemper and the Coyotes gave up a lead to lose the game. Kuemper did not really look like himself in the second and third period, and he gave up 4 goals during that time. Kuemper did not look like himself, one reason might be the chirping coming from Minnesota. (Star Tribune)

The Coyotes seem to have answered one question fans have asked recently. Eric Comrie was assigned to Tucson earlier this week in a very unsurprising move. I think the Coyotes went out to get Comrie via the waiver wire as insurance incase Raanta came back and was injured again after missing time last season. With the two Coyotes goalies playing well Comrie can now start playing down in Tucson. (Arizona Sports)

The general consensus within the Coyotes fan base is frustration following two blown games at home, and the mood is similar in the locker room. Head Coach Rick Tocchet spoke of the team giving away games when they have a lead the past few games, and he is right. If Arizona wants to get back on track they are going to need to stop the bleeding soon. (AZ Central)

Next up on the schedule for the Coyotes is Washington. Unlike Columbus and Minnesota, the Capitals are currently playing some of their best hockey, they are on a 6 game win streak and have a 9-0-1 record in their last 10 games. If the Coyotes want to win they are going to need all of their players on their A-game.
