Arizona Coyotes Morning Howl Report for January 8th, 2020
Today is January 8th, 2020 the Arizona Coyotes have a lot of news to discuss today. Let’s jump right in with your Morning Howl Report!
The Arizona Coyotes got a big win last night against the Florida Panthers to turn their win streak to four games. Arizona got a big win thanks to the efforts of players like Taylor Hall and Adin Hill! (Howlin’ Hockey)
One question some fans are asking of John Chayka and the Arizona Coyotes is how did they turn this around. Check out this post with how Chayka and company turned one of the worst teams in the league into a full-blown Stanley Cup contender. (Wall Street Journal)
Arizona has done what I honestly thought was impossible, return to the top of the Pacific Division. Arizona has gone on a four-game win streak to find themselves back on top. However, things are not going to stay the same forever. The Coyotes have a game in hand on the Vegas Golden Knights, and they are tied for first with 54 points. Outside of those two teams, three other teams are within 4 points of the division lead.
Things are going to be shifting dramatically the rest of the way in the Pacific Division, and if you want to guarantee your playoff spot then you have to keep winning games. That continues tomorrow when Arizona plays the Tampa Bay Lightning, who are on an 8 game road trip.
One thing we at Howlin’ Hockey want to bring to you moving forward is a weekly mailbag to answer some of your questions about the Coyotes or just hockey in general. We will tweet about it later today, but if you have any questions you want to be answered post them in the comments now!
