Today is January 10th, 2020 and we have the Morning Howl Report to prove it! Whether it be recapping last nights lost to Tampa or just talking about all things Coyotes, let’s jump right in!

Well, that game was not very fun last night. The Arizona Coyotes got absolutely destroyed last night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning looked bigger, meaner, and better. You could say the Coyotes were struck by Lightning. (Howlin’ Hockey)

I never like seeing players on the opposing team do something for the first time all season against the Coyotes. Like if a player who has not scored all season tallied his first goal on the season against the ‘Yotes it would bother me a little bit. Well, Tampa Bay goaltender Andre Vasilevskiy tallied his first shut out of the season against us last night, go figure. (Raw Charge)

Tonight Arizona will play another young team with a lot of speed and skill. Similar to their own structure, Arizona is going to need to not let up defensively if they want to beat the speedy Canes. Another thing Arizona might have to worry about is the return of Justin Williams for the Hurricanes. It is not expected that Williams will play, rather his voice in the locker room is something the Hurricanes can rally behind.  (Sports Illustrated)

Tonight Arizona needs to prove that they are not just a streaky good team. I mean we need to see them play great against another team that is rather skilled. The Hurricanes are getting production from their blue line, which means we need to shut it down and have this be a low scoring game. (NHL)

It is always fun to look ahead. After today’s game, the next Coyotes game will be Sunday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. If you wanted a heads up on the opponent here are a few things you should know. Pittsburgh is still hoping to get Sidney Crosby back for this season. Right now Crosby is day today and was given a day off against Colorado tonight. (NHL)
