The Arizona Coyotes really dropped the ball last night in Vancouver when they lost by a score of 3-1. That and more in today’s Morning Howl Report!

Before we talk about the game, one person on the Coyotes bench will be with the Pacific Division team at the NHL all-star game, and it isn’t a player! Head coach Rick Tocchet is the Coyotes only representative following Darcy Kuemper’s injury and Vegas head coach Gerard Gallant’s firing. (Howlin’ Hockey)

Some of the best NHL players have played with the Coyotes, whether it be Shane Doan or Jeremy Roenick the Coyotes boast some of the best players in the league. One former Coyotes is making everyone proud with his new profession. Check out AZ Central’s story on Deron Quint and his path to becoming a police officer. (AZ Central)

The Arizona Coyotes could not come out of Vancouver with a win last night. That win would have given them a 5 point lead over the Canucks in the standings. Now we are up by just 1 point, but hey there is still a long way to go!

If you missed the Coyotes one goal on the night then you did not get to see Taylor Hall make a great pass over to Christian Dvorak, check it out now!

The Arizona Coyotes still have a long way to go if they are going to make the playoffs. One question we still are asking ourselves is whether or not this team needs to change their system a little. Arizona has so many talented faces now, players like Nick Schmaltz, Phil Kessel, and Taylor Hall, should be scoring goals with skill not with grit the way Arizona is used to putting the puck in the net.
