Should the Arizona Coyotes try and shake up their system

The Arizona Coyotes play a very defensive heavy style of play, and that was and is ok as long as they are utilizing their players the right way. What happens when not everyone is playing as effectively?

When you look at the way the Arizona Coyotes are scoring goals is it off the rush or is it usually a place out in front after working the puck along the boards? For the most part, the team is earning all of their goals and gritting them out, that is just fine however that just can not work for all of their players.

Conor Garland has made his home standing in the slot waiting for the pass to come after someone gets the puck to him, but when you look up and down this lineup there are starting to become more players that rely on skill, not size and strength to score goals.

I think Rick Tocchet and the Coyotes should focus more on tailoring to Taylor Hall, Phil Kessel, and Clayton Keller when it comes to their system. Maybe we could pair them with guys that can pick up the slack in the defensive zone, and allow them to try and generate offense a little more often, or play them together with some of the best defensemen we have. Phil Kessel is a -17 despite putting up 30 points, Clayton Keller is a -7 in the plus-minus as well.

I enjoy watching our top guys outplay the opponent and score goals, but I just believe they can do it more often if they had a little more freedom on the ice. Rick Tocchet has a great disciplined system for a team with less skill. This team has the skill and I think Tocchet needs to adapt to our top guys on the ice moving forward.

Of course, Taylor Hall is averaging almost a point per game so far with the Coyotes so what do I know? Share your thoughts in the comments on what you think the Coyotes still need to succeed this season, for me it is all about fine-tuning their system.
