The Arizona Coyotes currently have Christian Dvorak under contract for about 4.45 million dollars a season. If this season has shown one thing it is that Christian Dvorak is worth every penny of that contract.

Today, we are kickstarting a new little series on Howlin’ Hockey. We are going to dive into every player on the roster’s midseason grades. We are a little passed midseason at this point, but the all-star break gives us all a little bit of time to reflect!

Christian Dvorak has been one of the best Coyotes on the ice night in and night out. The former 2nd round pick has found his home on the Coyotes top line at center. It did take him a while to get the position and make it his own, but boy has he grown.

Up to this point this season Dvorak has played on the same line as players like Nick Schmaltz and Conor Garland. Dvorak instantly became the team’s offensive center, and he played with some of the ‘Yotes best players. One player that really benefited from the Taylor Hall trade was Dvorak as he got a great new linemate.

Christian Dvorak is on pace to break his career total in points this season. He is already 7 points away from passing his career-high at 37! It is hard to imagine the young forward will not break that number. Dvorak has also been remarkable in the face-off dot, as he currently holds a 56.2 face-off percentage through 51 games this season.

It is hard to imagine that Christian Dvorak is only 23! He has so much hockey left in front of him, but this season he has already shown that he is more than capable of helping a team succeed.

Because of all this and more Christian Dvorak’s all-star break grade is a B+. He is reliable in the Corsi department, with a 54.1% so far this season, the highest in his career, and is set to break so many of his own records.

I know this season is all about winning, as it should be, but watching a player like Christian Dvorak trend in the direction he right now has to be a good thing for this team!
