Arizona Coyotes All-Star Break Grades – Adin Hill
The first goalie we are going to look at for our All-Star break review is going to be Adin Hill! The young Arizona Coyotes goalie really stepped up to the plate when the Coyotes needed him the most this season.
When both goalies Darcy Kuemper and Antti Raanta fell to injury this past month goalie Adin Hill stepped up to the plate in a large way for the Coyotes. In five starts this season he has 2 wins and 1 loss in a shoot out. During that shoot out Hill gave the Coyotes all the opportunities in the world to win.
Against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Hill made 31 saves en route to the Coyotes loss. Although the team lost it was a win for Hill, who took the Penguins to 8 shoot out rounds before the loss.
This is Adin Hill’s third season with the Arizona Coyotes, in that time the 23-year-old former third-round draft pick in 2015 has played in 26 games, and gotten 10 wins. Hill has the best save percentage of his career, at .920 and a goals-against average at 2.40 per game. That is not bad from a rookie goalie.

I would give goaltender Adin Hill a higher ranking, but he is a minor league goalie that only played in a few games this season. I will give Hill a C ranking for his role with the Coyotes this season. He has won two games this season, against the San Jose Sharks and the Florida Panthers. Since playing Florida the Panthers have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL, so that is a big win by the young goalie who made 37 saves.
Adin Hill played great with the Coyotes this season, but at the same time, I hope that we do not see him again this season. I want to have Kuemper and Raanta in the net the rest of the way!
