The Arizona Coyotes are back in action tonight against the Anaheim Ducks and I am so excited! It has been over a week since the Coyotes have last laced up the skates, so let’s talk about their return

The Arizona Coyotes have not been great as of late. In their last five games, they are 1-3-1, with that one win coming against the San Jose Sharks. That is not a record of a potential playoff team, especially when you consider that two of those losses came against their Pacific Division rivals the Edmonton Oilers and the Vancouver Canucks.

I know that the Coyotes can not win every game, and I am not trying to ask that of them, but at the same time, their record has not been great. I miss the Coyotes we got in October and November, a team that was electric and was beating opponents in their own end and in the offensive zone. Things have changed, and it seemed like it started with Taylor Hall joining the team.

I believe that the biggest issue for the Coyotes has been they are feeling too comfortable. I think the biggest issue is their mindset right now, they feel like they are the better team on most nights, something this team is not used to. Due to feeling comfortable in games against teams like Pittsburgh and Carolina they end up losing. Hockey is not a sport where the best team always wins, which is why now is the time for this team to start earning their wins again.

The Coyotes will look to get back on track tonight against the Ducks. This game is critical in my opinion, I think it is going to be a low scoring close game, something the Coyotes have struggled with recently. They are 2-7 this season when it is a one-goal game. Improving on that is going to how the Coyotes get through the next 31 games, and into the playoffs.

Let’s see if the Coyotes can get things done against the Ducks tonight, considering the ‘Yotes are in a close race against teams like the Flames, Oilers, Canucks, and Knights winning against one of the bottom teams in the division is imperative!
