The Arizona Coyotes are back in action today against the Boston Bruins. While our last game was not very promising we now have another opportunity to improve today against the Bruins.

I thought we were going to win. When the Carolina Hurricanes went down by two goals to the Arizona Coyotes in Arizona I figured we had that game in the bag. Three unanswered goals for the Hurricanes proved otherwise. This showcased that no matter what the score you always have to pay attention to the team ahead.

Today’s game gives us another opportunity to prove ourselves in this league. The Boston Bruins are one of the best of the bests, I am not going to downplay the type of team they are. While you might say they are overly physical, they do manage to get things done and are currently leading the league with 78 points.

I don’t think that the Bruins care that another team is right behind them, they would rather have the Stanley Cup than the Presidents Trophy, but with the Washington Capitals only one point behind them they have to be itching for two points.

More from Howlin' Hockey

The Arizona Coyotes are running out of games. If we are going to make the playoffs we have to win a lot of our games moving forward, and that starts tonight. Players like Derek Stepan, Antti Raanta, Taylor Hall, and Nick Schmaltz have all stepped up in the last few games trying to get this team a win.

Hopefully, more players can follow with big games today against the Boston Bruins. The only way we are going to beat the Boston Bruins is if we keep them out of the blue paint in front of our goalie. If Antti Raanta is getting screened all afternoon we are not going to stand a chance. Our defense needs to be active and keep the puck moving in our own end, and we need to capitalize with goals on any scoring opportunity we get.

Moving forward I am going to try and pose a question for you the reader to answer in the comments. I think it will help grow our community and could be a fun way to interact with one another.

Today’s ‘Yotes Notes Question: If you could have one former Coyote who is still playing back who would it be?

I would have to say Anthony Duclair. While he did not play the best with the Coyotes he has certainly been playing great this season!
