Arizona State Men’s Hockey-Undefeated And Back In Action Tonight
The 10-0 Sun Devils are home tonight to take on Colorado State after sending Eastern Michigan packing with a 9-2 thrashing. The last three games, the Sun Devils have outscored their opponent 31-5.
In their thrashing of Eastern Michigan, Stephen Collins recorded a hat trick and two assists to lead ASU with five points. Darcy Charrois picked up one goal on the power play to go along with his three helpers for a four point night. Colin Hekle put up two points as did JordanYoung. Colin Kekle, Danny McAuliffe, and Kale Dolinski continue to lead the team with 18 points apiece. All Sun Devils except three (2 are goalies) have at least one point in the season. This balanced scoring attack means the Sun Devils can just send wave after wave of forwards after the puck and can play an uptempo game. Seven different players have scored on the power play led by Stephen Collins with five.
Not content to just record wins, Joseph D’Elia ran his record to 7-0 and has 1 assist on the season. Frank Covey is 2-0 with a goals against average of an unbelievable 1.61 and a save percentage of 0.93.
