This is a back to back game after playing an 8pm game in Minnesota, and that could be a factor in favor of the Jets themselves. The Coyotes are 1-1 against the Jets, who own a 23 W, 14 L, 8 OTL record, good for 4th in the Western Conference. They are not a good home team, winning more on the road so far this year.

Season series history:

>> The Coyotes lost the season home opener to the Jets 6-2.  Blake Wheeler and Bryan Little teamed up to dominate the Yotes early. Wheeler scored twice in 15 seconds during a four-goal first period and Little had two goals to help the Jets plummet the Coyotes 6-2.

>> The next meeting was in Arizona and the Yotes prevailed by a 4-1 score. Mikkel Boedker tallied 2 goals and an assist. The team had 3 power play goals, and stopped the Jets power play in all seven attempts. This was one of those games where we all thought the Yotes would start turning things around, but so far their inconsistency has really hurt them.

This game went into overtime, with the Coyotes ultimately lost in the shootout. The 4-3 loss came with the requisite loser point, though — so not all was lost!
