Arizona Coyotes – Twas The Night Before Puck Drop
Arizona Coyotes – ’Twas the Night Before Puck Drop
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the Arizona Coyotes rink, not a puck was shot (not even by Scott);
The skates were all hung in the dressing room with care, in hopes that Sir Stanley would soon be there;
The hockey sticks were lined up, all in their place, with visions of winning streaks causing grins on the Yotes face;
And Doaner in his cowboy hat, and Toby reading his hockey stats
Who is this team, and who is their star?
Where is their CUP, is it near or is it far?

Or will they continue to come up short?
Will the glory be theirs or will they fall apart?
When out on the rink there were pucks being shot,
I sprang from my bed.. hey why do I only have a cot?
As I gandered watching Speeder Rieder skate by in a flash,
I wondered where has this guy been, give him the cash!
Now Doaner! Now Duke! Now Max and OEL!
On, Vermy! on Hanzal! on Boeds and Little Joe
To the net! To the corners! Now Shootaway! Shootaway!
Shootaway ALL!
And then, in a moment I heard at the door someone knocking, hey it’s only four..
As I went to see who was there, at the door entered Sir Stanley as big as a BEAR
He was dressed in his Don Cherry-best looking dapper in his checkered vest
His eyes how they twinkled as he gave me a nod – hey was he hitting the spiked egg nog?
He mentioned to me if we forecheck, and play Tipp’s plan

One day his Mighty Cup would be in our hands.
He sprang from the room, and left in a flurry,
He must have really been in a big hurry,
But as he departed that fine night, I heard him say:
“HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!”
