Arizona Coyotes Predicted Preseason Roster versus Post-Deadline Roster

Before the Arizona Coyotes had even hit the ice in the early fall of 2015 for the preseason, I had begun thinking about the roster.

I was back and forth on who should get cut after camp, who should get sent back to their junior hockey squads in Canada and who should be designated to play with the Coyotes’s new American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Falcons.

Even more, I was confused by the signing of players like Nicklas Grossman, Steve Downie and Stefan Elliot.

So I did what any devoted fan of a hockey club would do; came up with my own roster and line combos.

Now the trade deadline has come to pass and the organization has manifested into a completely different animal than before the deadline, and even more so the beginning of the season. I figured this would be a good time to compare what I thought the roster should have been and the roster the Coyotes are carrying now.

Please note that the ‘Current Lines’ are as of March 1st, 2016.
