There’s been an awakening. Have you felt it? The Arizona Coyotes are stocked full of brilliant young stars, much like The Force Awakens succeeded in introducing new heroes for Star Wars fans to adore:

Dylan Strome as Rey

Just like Anakin and Luke before her, Rey is the embodiment of hope for the good guys. Dylan Strome is the same beacon for desert hockey. Rey enters the scene as a simple scavenger with a fierce will to survive, before ultimately realizing her true power and seeking out her destiny. Dylan Strome will enter the NHL next season as a relatively scrawny youth, with aspirations of becoming an elite player for the Arizona Coyotes.

Anthony Duclair as Finn

A former stormtrooper, FN-2187 wanted no part of the ruthlessness of The First Order and eventually joined the Resistance. Like Finn, Anthony Duclair played for the New York Rangers before coming to the desert and developing into one of the Yotes’ most dynamic young talents. Finn is fiercely loyal to Rey and his friend Poe, who saved him from The First Order. Speaking of Poe…

Max Domi as Poe Dameron

“That’s one hell of a pilot!” Finn says as Poe darts in, out, and around The First Order’s fleet and decimates them with his precision and speed. We saw Max Domi do things this season that are eerily reminiscent of the Resistance’s best pilot. Plus, they are both excellent leaders.
